It Will All Work Out

  Ephesians 1:11 is a powerful verse with a vital lesson,

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.

 Over the 30 years of my Christian life, I have come to have great confidence in God's ability to work things out.  No matter what is going on or how obscured my understanding of a situation is, I believe God is always working things according to His great sovereign plan.

It is as if there is this giant tapestry that God is weaving, and my life is a part of it.  I sometimes get caught up with the temporal things and the stuff that is happening, but God reminds me, "Hey, nothing is taking Me by surprise.  I'm weaving all of these things into this great pattern.  Your mistakes, the stuff that happens to you, it is all going to turn out alright!"

Has it ever occurred to you that nothing occurs to God?  The thing you are embroiled in right now did not take God by surprise.  He did not look at your situation and say, "Oh no!  I didn't figure on that!  Gabriel, do you have any suggestions?  What are we going to do?"

I know that sometimes in my microscopic view of things I have said, "Lord, such and such has got to happen."  And God has replied, "Well, you don't have the big picture."  Then, as time went on, God pulled the camera back, and I got the wide view, and I realized God was up to something very cool—totally apart from what I thought "had to happen."

 Whatever your situation, you can rest assured that God has plans to work things out.  God is working all things after the counsel of His own will.  So relax!  Even if your present circumstances have totally taken you by surprise, God saw it coming and made provision far ahead of time.

Anyways, It is finally FRIDAY and I couldn't be more glad. aaaaand I don't even have a game tonight! whaaat.

He is the sweeetest, ever.

Tomorrow is senior night. Hello, tears! Senior night for football is sad, yes, but you know you still have all of basketball season with these girls.

I will miss each one of them so very much. I feel like they are all my little sisters and i get so sad thinking about them growing up and going off to college... freaking crazy.

I am sleepy today, imagine that!
My niece stayed with us last night and slept in my bed bc hello I am her favorite. duh.
but the crazy girl is even crazy in her sleep. kicking me. turning sideways/forcing me off the bed. talking in her sleep.
Not to mention I don't sleep soundly when she is there anyways. I guess I worry. I don't know why, she is 3.
When she was a baby I would not sleep at all if I was with her.

SIDS scares me to death.
I always had my hand on her chest so I could feel her breathing.
I can only imagine the kind of crazy mother I will be someday.

Which reminds me. On Wednesday, A friend of mines 4 year old cousin was accidentally shot in the abdomen and was killed : ( He and his twin brother had found one of their dad's guns in the basement (He is a sheriff) and were playing with it. They aren't sure exactly who fired the gun.
Please say a prayer for their family. I cannot imagine what they are all going through.

On a lighter note...
I leave for LA in 28 days.

My sister in laws sister has been there visiting the past 2 weeks and they went to The Chelsea Lately show. Have I ever mentioned how much I freaking love Chelsea Handler, she is insane.
Anyways, J Biebs was the guest the night they went! whaaat!!
I have bieber fever, I will admit it.
Yes I'm 23. It's fine. He is presh and I heart his songs.
They thought it was lame that he was the guest, whatevs!
I probably would have peed my pants.

sitting right here on my desk, next to my loooovely flowers that smell so freaking good and make me want to run around outside :) Thanks moooom!

currently-long, down, dark, and straight. been thinking about dying it lighter again; I have spring fever and in the spring and summer it's usually light. Also, I am getting lots of layers put in; soon!
3. Your mother:rocks. I strive to be just like her some day.

is the most unselfish, caring man I've ever known.
5. Your favorite food:um. chicken i guess. I feel like almost everything I eat has chicken in it. but i am always down for some steak mmmm. oh and candy duh.

when the dog bites..

I have been feeling so lazy and blahhh lately.
I hate that.

I think I am too busy trying to fit too many things into each day.
3 jobs.
boy.
sleep.
laundry.
family.
friends.
I hate that I feel this way, I mean I don't even have a family of my own yet or kids to take care of and I bet when that season gets here I will wish for the time I have now back but seriously...It's a mess.
I think it has alot to do with not being focused on any one thing.....
I don't like that.

My jobs aren't things I have ever wanted to do, besides coaching.
I am very grateful for all of them though and I don't like being negative or complaining.
It's just all starting to weigh down on me.
I'm not where I would like to be at this point in my life and that is frustrating.
I know it will all come in good time & I trust that God has a bigger and better plan than I do.
& Thats how I get through my days.
But seriously..when will I get to where I want to be? Everyone around me is either getting married or having babies or buying there first house.
And even though I am so so happy for them...it's kind of depressing.

Oh well.
Gods got me; I will just keep giving it all to him.

Just curious. I don't know why. It has never changed what I thought or how I felt about a person. I guess I'm just nosy. or weird. whichever.

My Favorite Things Today

The Golden Rule.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

This is one of my favorite sayings.
Think about this for ahwile.
Seriously, how many times a day do you do something/say something/think something etc to or about another person that you would not like done to you, thought about you or said about you??
I am guilty of this.
We all are.
When I think about this I can't help but think of how much better of a place the world would be if we all made a conscious effort to live by this rule.
Why not instead of saying or even thinking what we instinctively would say or think about something or someone in a negative way...turn it around and look for something positive about the person or situation.
The more you do this, the easier it will become.
It will eventually become natural; your way of life.
& How beautiful would that be?
I know it may be hard sometimes but I believe there is good in everyone & everything.
Somewhere, some how, some way there is good.
& I bet there would be alot more good if everyone looked for it.
You may be the kind of person who feels better about themselves by tearing other people down.
The act of destroying another's spirit, soul, and/or being will eventually also destroy your own spirit, soul, and/or being.
I've done it.
I'm sure at some point, we all have.
But I promise you if you do the exact opposite you will start seeing how much better you feel about yourself & your life.
Building other people up not only betters their lives but also your own.
& Who doesn't want that??

The Bible teaches us to "Love your neighbor as yourself".
The Bible also provides us with the definition of love:
"Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away." (1 Corinthians 13:4-10)

::Therefore we shall first learn to love ourselves, the way God intended. 
::Then love each other, the same way.

All these things remind me of the heart of a child.
If we could all become more childlike..::loving, forgiving, compassionate, caring...
Think of how the world could be!!

Do yourself & the world a favor; Starting today, make a conscious effort to be kind. Remember everyone is fighting some kind of battle & could use an extra dose of love & kindness.

& remember to be grateful to those people who do these things for you.

50 Randoms Things About Me.

1. I have 1 older sister, 1 older brother, and 2 younger brothers which makes me ....the middle child.
2. I have been to Las Vegas with high rollers...uhhhhmazing.
3. I drive a Nissan Pathfinder who I named, Patti. She rocks.
4. I have 18 cousins on one side and 19 on the other.
5. I love, love, love babies & little kids. They are my most favorite thing.
6. I had braces for 6 entire years. From 6th grade to senior year and I didn't even have crooked teeth, just a slight overbite.
7. I attended college for 1 year where I lived on campus with a friend from high school. Since then I have transferred schools twice...once to a community college and then to online.
8. I have gone to school for 3 different things. elementary education, early childhood education, & dental assisting.
9. I received certificates in early childhood & dental assisting.
10. I have never worked as a dental assistant.
11. Going to church every sunday refuels me,deepens my faith,and brings me closer to God
12. I have had 3 serious boyfriends since I was 16.
13. Although healthy, I have terrible joints & often feel as if I am living in a 90 yr old body.
14. There is a 14 yr difference between my sister & youngest brother,
15. I lied. I also do the billing for an attorney which doesn't have much to do with kids except that I also nanny for him in the summer.
16. I have an addiction to Mcd's sweet tea.
17. I know I shouldn't do it but I am in love with the tanning bed.
18. I want a large family, God willing. I would love to have 4 or 5 kids.
19. I have truthfully never had a desire to become anything except a mommy.
20. I believe in retail therapy....to a point.
21. I should start going to church again every sunday.
22. I am terrible at math.
23. I love coaching cheerleading especially during competition season.
24. I always wanted to be married at this point in my life...guess God had different plans.
25. I worry about people way too much.
26. I went to private school for 9 years then switched to public for high school.
27. I am in love with stores/restaurants that are open 24/7.
28. My parents have been married for 33 years.
29. I am a dog person & can't wait until I can have my own.
30. My older brother is my only sibling married & lives in Los Angeles working on movies, music videos, video games etc.
31. I drive a mini bus for cheerleading & I'm probably the hottest mini bus driver there ever was.
32. The year I turned 21 & the year after were the craziest years of my life. INSANE.

Randoms from the weekend & A challenge.

Well it's Monday and I am at work! Crazy I know. It even snowed a little bit over night but here we are :) I had a nice weekend. Busy yet relaxing & rewarding. I like that.

We had basketball games both Friday & Saturday nights ::like usual. Both were at home which was nice. Who wants to drive a mini bus full of cheerleaders an hour and a half both ways after working all day like we did 2 weeks ago? ::ughh. Anyways Friday night our pee wee girls performed between games. oh em gee. Cutest thing of my like. My 3yr old niece freaking rocked it. My sister forgot her camera, mine was dead & my parents were late! :( But luckily some friends got some pictures so I will get them up soon. I totally almost cried..like had tears in my eyes and had to hold myself back from sobbing because hello, how embarassing would that be?? Especially when I don't even have a kid out there. Or kids at all for that matter. Oh well. She is my first & only (for now) niece. Saturday I got to sleep in ::weeeee!!! & then back to school for the game. The Indiana Pacers mascot, Boomer, performed and he is always so much fun. Being the procrastinator & fly by the seat of my pants girl that I am; I never thought to charge my camera so I could at least get some pics. Oh well. We are working on that. (I say we like I'm more than one person..? wtfuh?) My niece (I keep referring to her without a name, i know. I haven't decided if I want to put it out there. Perhaps I should ask my sister ha) did her usual mascot deal ::"i want to hug him..him is berry nice..oh my, him is hilly...i like him." Until the freaking thing even makes a move like he is going to walk in her direction regardless if it's across the room. then it's ::"oh no, oh no...i don't want him to come ober here..him is ho cary..hold me!" God bless 3 year olds.
After the game My sister, niece, and I went to walmart bc hello, it is open 24/7 and that my friends, is one of my most favorite things. We went to get ribbon so I could make her big bows because ever since becoming a "cheerio" at our clinic and wearing one of my high school girls bows she thinks she should have one in always and duh she totally should. To make a long story short...we walked out $145 later ::why does that always happen at stores that sell everything that you could ever want but nothing you really need?? I think I heard "hey carta try an catch me" 3438589 times while she darted off somewhere & "pwease carta i reawy need this lipstick"...for real? She is nuts.
Yesterday was Superbowl Sunday. Packers vs. Steelers. Around here..it was all green & yellow. Despite there awful record this year and the not so good rep they have...this is Bengals country!! which means....down with Pittsburg!!! We got what we wanted and I loved every second of it. Sorry Roethlisberger, raping little girls probably doesn't make Jesus smile which means your probably not going to win the superbowl. Okay I'm done.

Onto the challenge! I've decided too many people are negative nancys and just because a couple or even maybe alot of bad things have happened to them they are done...::the world is a terrible place, everyone owes me something, everyone is out to get me, i hate my life, ya know the normal debbie downer phrases. I'm not going to lie I've been there before. I am sure we all have at one point. But why???
Why live your life with no hope & a negative outlook on things when it is so easy to do the very opposite. I am going to challenge myself & I challenge you, if you are reading this to write down 5 things a day that you are thankful for. I am going to post mine so I can look back in doubtful times & remember how good I have it. I will do this for 30 days. It can be anything...small or large. When you start thinking about it the things you are thankful for come fairly quick. I promise after doing this your whole outlook on life will change. If you believe, you should try to remember each night before falling asleep to thank God for these things in your life. Remember what you put out into the world comes back to you ten fold. Be kind, to yourself & others. Be grateful.

Just because..

• It's friday but feels like tuesday.
• This is purple and small because I feel like making it purple and small.
• I am so sleepy.
• Kids are being bad.
• I feel  bad for saying kids are being bad when its only a select few.
• I don't get to take a nap again today.
• I am slightly burnt bc i can't not go tan when it only costs $1.50 ::duh:: & of course I fell asleep.
• We have a bball game tonight  which is also our pee wee night. yipee.
• lunch sucked today.
• I want to go shopping.
• Did I mention I don't get a nap again today?
• It's boyfriend week apparently. who knew?
• We are already over our built in snow days and there are 3 chances for snow in the 7 day forecast.
• They are talking about making all these snow days up on saturdays. WHAT?!!!
• I am going to L.A. to visit my brother & SIL in 43 days & have never been. I am pumped.
• My 3 yr old niece is a freaking rock star & not only learned all the material at our pee wee cheer clinic last night but insisted on standing in the front row with the high school girls to perform everything regardless of where they put her. ohhhh myyyy. love it.
• I miss my mom & dad; even tho I live with them.
• I am so very glad it is Friday & won't hate it at all if we have a snow day or 5 next week. Did I say that? woooops.
• My job rocks I just don't hate snow days.
• I was forced  taken to a movie last night....(after the clinic that ended at 8 and the basketball game that ended at 9 and going tanning....and then for frappes....and a random trip to walmart (lovelovelove these)...).......@12:01!! Saw the opening of The Roomate ::super creepy::
• And I wonder why I am always tired HA.
• Luckily  random crazy things such as last night are totally my thing. why not? might as well do random fun things while you can right?
• This sunday is the superbowl. I don't like the packers and despise the steelers (who really needs 7 superbowl rings?? VOM) I'll probably nap instead kthanks.

Wooooooops.

So I totally haven't blogged in almost a month. I don't even really have a good reason. I have been super busy but that's really nothing new. And for real we have had a million snow days where I could have blogged a million times but I'm into the whole doabsoluetlynothingonsnowdays. wooops, does that make me lazy? oh well. Today is my first day at work this week. Monday I was deathly ill due to overdosing myself on pills because I did something awful to my back (I still dont know what is wrong) All the medicine really messed me up..inside and out. I wasn't back to myself until yesterday afternooon. Blah. I hate that. & then we got crazy amounts of ice which got school cancelled Tuesday & Wed=I was happy:) I stayed at my sisters Saturday through yesterday bc I heart her and my 3 yr old neice rocks my socks. My sister recently started working on top of going back to school to get her masters (she obv rocks too) so I was able to do my thang and be a stay at home mommy auntie for 3 days. love love love. Can't wait to marry my hottie becoming a doctor boyfriend what!? and stay at home with my babieeees! Weeeeee!

Here are some randoms for you::

• I am rocking the cutest slippers boots today & jeggings. Might as well be at home in my jammies..gotta do what I can.
• Even though high school kids can be brats they are always making me feel old laugh :)
• I miss being with babies and litte kids everyday. Bad.
• 3 of the heaters systems at school today weren't working..my room got down to 60 degrees. It was super.
• I think i might be becoming addicted to this. don't hate me.
• The roads were terrible this morning bc it snowed on top of the ice & we didn't even get a delay. wtfuhhh.
• We are having our pee wee clinic tonight for K-6th grade but my 3 yr old neice and my friends 3 yr old daughter are coming..duh!
• I love naps and I am sad that I will not get one today. Is that bad?
